DAY 01
Cancun - Puerto Morelos
Pick-up from the intl. Airport Cancun and transfer to your hotel in Puerto Morelos.
DAY 02
Puerto Morelos
Since the dive school is in walking distance from our hotel, we can get geared up after breakfast, and then take the boat to the world's second largest Barrier Reef:
On our first dive we're going to explore an absolute fabulous ship wreck, which lies in around 27m/ 90ft depth. The gunboat "Juan Escutia C-56" is located just 2 km off the coast of Puerto Morelos. This ship is about 60m/ 200ft long and has 3 decks to explore. It was sunk intentionally in 1996, and has developed an amazing marine life. A group of Eagle rays are commonly spotted here, as well as moray eels, barracudas and groupers, amongst other small crustaceans.
On our second dive we're cruising along the coral gardens with big schools of fish and with a little bit of luck we'll have encounters with nurse sharks and sea turtles.

Day 03
Valladolid - Uayma - Cenote Ik-Kil
Today we're driving from Puerto Morelos to Valladolid. Here we will stay for lunch next to the cenote Zací and stroll through the picturous city center.
Short stop at the village square of Uayma with its impressive church. Continue to the hotel bungalows at Cenote Ik-Kil. Great opportunity to swim in the cenote outside the official opening times (without the crowds).

DAY 04
Chichen Itza - Izamal Mérida
Those of you who wish, can take another opportunity to swim in the amazing cenote before it opens for public at 9:00.
After breakfast our tour continues to Chichen Itza where we walk around the pyramid complex.
On our way to Mérida, we stop by the "Yellow City" of Izamal, which is declared a World Heritage Site.
After (a later) lunch in a renowned Yucatecan restaurant we pay a visit to the huge convent and can also climb up to the Kinich Kak Moo pyramid.
Check-in at our downtown-hotel in Mérida.
DAY 05
2 Cenote-dives
Welcome to the Mayan Underworld!
This is truly a magical world to explore, and every diver experiences the cenotes differently.
You'll get picked up from the hotel and after aprox. a 45 min. drive we'll reach our destination. Since there will always be natural light visible during the dive, it is possible to experience these amazing places with only an Open Water Certification. Good bouancy is key though, mainly to not stir up the fine sediments and damage any stalacmites. Our Full Cave Diver Trainer and divemaster will make sure you'll have an unforgettable and wonderful experience.
In the old Mayan World cenotes were used for religious purposes like sacrificial ceremonies. Today you can still find many archaelogical artifacts, bones and even skulls and fossils.
After the second dive (in a different cenote) we will have lunch either at a authentic Mayan village or at one of the beautiful haciendas nearby.

DAY 06
2 Cenote-dives
Our second day of cenote diving will be logistically quite the same as the day before, although the destinations vary of course.
The nice thing about diving in these remote cenotes in the heart of the Yucatan Peninsula is that there are no big crowdes like in the more famous cenotes on the Caribbean side. It definetly still has more of an "Indiana Jones"- explorer atmosphere.
Day 07
Mérida & Progreso
The morning is at your disposal for shopping or to explore the city. Optional activities: City-tour with the turbos, visiting the local market "San Benito", or strolling along the beautiful "Paseo Montejo" with its many white colonial buildings.
In the afternoon we'll visit the nature reserve "El Corchito" with its open-/pool-like cenotes where we can dip in. Usually we will be greeted by some friendly raccoons and coaties. Later we can visit the nearby coastal town of Progreso. Lots of restaurants, bars and food trucks are located along the beach promenade, and the spectacular sunset is not to be missed.

Day 08
Celestún
Today we're taking a break from diving and are headed to the west coast of the Yucatan peninsula. Here in Celestún we'll embark on a private boat-tour to observe the impressive flamingo colonies and other birds (herons, cormorants, spoonbills and pelicans). Later we can have lunch at one of the cozy restaurants at the beach.

DAY 09
Mayapan - Bacalar
As a contrast to Chichen Itza, after breakfast we'll visit the almost deserted archeological sites of Mayapan. Actually you can still climb up all the pyramids here :)
We continue our drive to the south-east side of the peninsula until we reach Bacalar, the amazing "Lagoon of the 7 colours (of blue)", with its crystal clear turquoise water.

DAY 10
Bacalar - Mahahual
After breakfast we will take a relaxing boat tour through the lagoon, with several stops and oportunities to jump in the water and go for a swim.
In the afternoon we continue to Mahahual, a hidden gem on the Caribbean coast, still a tranquil tourist destination with a laid-back vibe.

DAY 11
Mahahual
Today we're going to explore the amazing coral reefs of Mahahual on a 2-tank boat dive. Besides the notorious large schools of fish you can come face to face with nurse sharks, stingrays, sea turtles an d moray eels, just to mention a few.
After a day of diving there is nothing better than relaxing on Mahahual's beaches and enjoying the peace and tranquility that this Destination offers.

Day 12
Banco Chinchorro
Banco Chinchorro is the Western hemisphere's largest coral atoll. For many years, there have been just a few adventurous divers who have Venture beyond the Mexican Caribbean's outer reef. But those few who have made the jurney to Banco Chinchorro have been rewarded for their efforts by discovering the best kept Secret in the Caribbean! The boat trip takes between one and a half and two hours, depending on sea conditions.
The atoll is famous for ist Black Coral, Nurse Sharks, Zea turtle, crocodiles, lobsters and pink snails, but also has archeological sites in form of a total of 70 shipwrecks from the sixteenth Century to the present.
Between the two dives we will visit a small island, where we'll have time to eat a lunch of sandwiches & fruits and walk around a bit to observe the crocodiles and giant iguanas.

DAY 13
Tulum - Puerto Aventuras
Today we're headed north to visit the pictures archeological site of Tulum overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Waters.
We then continue to our next accommodation located at the beautiful marina of Puerto Aventuras. Along with many small and also some bigger yachts, you can observe some dolphins, sea lions and manatees.
DAY 14
Puerto Aventuras -
2 Cenote dives
Today we're going to explore 2 cenotes with very dramatic formations. With a little bit of luck we will be able to visit and dive the famous "Dos Ojos". This cenote consists of two big chambers which are connected with some fascinating caves packed with stalactites, stalagmites and crystal-clear fresh water.

DAY 15 & 16
Puerto Aventuras &
Puerto Morelos
Around midday we'll be heading back to Puerto Morelos, which is aprox. 1 hour by car. Here we're going to stay the last two nights in the same beach hotel as in the very beginning of this tour.
These last 2 day are all about relaxing and enjoying the beach and the sea.
DAY 17
Puerto Morelos -
Cancún Airport
Transfer to the International airport in Cancún and flight back home :)
